NOW Conference 2005

On July 3, 2005, Feminist Majority President Ellie Smeal joined Past NOW-NYS President Marilyn Fitterman (left) and Nashville singer Candace Corrigan (right) in singing Rapp's "Where Were The Flowers: A Song For Becky Bell," about a teenager who fell to Indiana's anti-choice "parental involvement" laws. The occasion was US Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's resignation and the National NOW Rally For Abortion Rights in Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's home state Tennessee.
